Homeopathics -- Making the Labels Right
An OTC Drug Labeling Seminar for Homeopathic Products is being sponsored by the American Association of Homeopathic Pharmacists (A.A.H.P.). The seminar will address homeopathic drug labeling and the new OTC drug labeling guidelines recently published by the FDA.
This seminar, the fourth in a series of regulatory compliance seminars, will take place October 20 and 21, 1999. The seminar will coincide with the Natural Products ExpoEast in Baltimore, the largest exposition of natural products in the United States.
Open to all members of the homeopathic industry, the seminar will also be of interest to other members of the natural products industry. Key topics to be covered include the latest FDA labeling requirements for homeopathic drugs, special requirements of the FDA Compliance Policy Guide for homeopathic drugs and the new OTC drug labeling regulations which take effect in 2000. Drug advertising, FDA and FTC review and the use of clinical studies in drug advertising will all be addressed.
The two day intensive seminar will be presented by Alvin J. Lorman, a prominent Washington, D.C. attorney in the field of drug compliance. Mr. Lorman, of the firm Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glosvsky and Popeo has represented homeopathic industry concerns for over 15 years and has presented numerous drug labeling compliance seminars.
The seminar will be held at the Hyatt Regency at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, Maryland. For more information on the seminar, the American Association of Homeopathic Pharmacists or its other educational activities, contact the message center by phone or fax at 1-800-478-0421.
