AAHP Welcomes New Members to Board of Directors
The American Associations of Homeopathic Pharmacists (AAHP) welcomes new board members elected from member company representatives to fill three seats on the Board of Directors during the association’s annual meeting held in March. The Board of Directors provides the guidance and direction for the association’s activities, finances and activities of the many working committees.
New to the board this year is Mathias Kaesebier, President and CEO of Heel USA Inc. Mathias who joined Heel Inc. in 2005 has almost 20 years in the pharmaceutical and natural health products industry in the fields of marketing, sales and corporate management. Mathias has worked previously with Boehringer Ingelheim as Director of the Consumer Health Care division for the Americas and as the International Marketing Manager of their natural health products division and with Schwabe/Spitzner’s natural products division. Mathias will hold a position as a Vice President on the board, previously filled by Joerg Zimmer also of Heel and will support association activities in the areas of technology, science and compliance.
Re-elected to the board of directors are Cynthia Batterman and Susan Maynard.
Susan Maynard, Senior Marketing Manager at Similasan Corp., has served as an AAHP Vice President for 2 years and is the chairperson of the Website Committee. Susan spearheaded the relaunch of the association’s website, with updates making the site more user friendly and increasing the sites content. She has directed the redesign of the Network News new HTML version with improved graphics improving not only the look of the AAHP’s primary communication to members but the content format as well.
Cynthia Batterman is President of Nelsons of North & South America and sits on the Nelsons Board of Directors. She has served as a Vice President for the AAHP for 2 years and is chairperson of the Education Committee. Cynthia has applied her years of experience in marketing, business and science to the Education Committee’s programs. She utilized her experience in consumer marketing and research to organize and promote the AAHP seminar ‘Best Marketing Practices’ in 2007. Then in March 2008 she shifted to her science background to coordinate the most recent AAHP seminar ‘Emerging Regulatory Issues in Homeopathy’.
