Marketing Seminar Features Consumer Trends
The near double digit sales growth in the homeopathic category in both mass market and natural channels has spurred increasing interest into the nature of homeopathic consumers and their buying trends. In response to market and manufacturing interests the American Association of Homeopathic Pharmacists (AAHP) sponsored a one day seminar, Marketing Best Practices in Homeopathic and Natural Remedies , in conjunction with the major natural products EXPO East trade show.
The seminar brought together a panel of experts in marketing and brand building to share their knowledge and insights. Topics included; consumer market trends, public relations, marketing to health care professionals and opportunities in retail pharmacies and Whole Foods. Speakers, who included Maryellen Molyneaux president of NMI, Michael Johnsen, Sr. Editor of Drug Store News, Tim Sperry principal of the Tim Sperry Group, Lisa Lazarczyk of laz PR and Alyssa Wostrel of 1M Integrative Solutions offered information on how to better navigate retail channels and communicate with consumers. Attendees gained valuable insight into multivariate analysis of consumer behavior related to demographics and purchase decisions of homeopathic medicines, practical PR advice and examples, along with trends in retail pharmacy and finally insight into the organization and operations of Whole Foods.
